This is a celebration commemorated since 1863, thanks to the proclamation of President Abraham Lincoln. It has become a tradition not only in the United States, but also in countries that observe this culture. We are not the exception, here at Cañaverales International School, we observe this celebration and have adopted it as a way to have our students get involved in the culture of the second language that they are learning. We have seen in this service the opportunity to reinforce the work of values which is very important for us as an institution. This year we have continued with this tradition adding some new features. The entire school participated of a contest for the best decorated inbox envelopes by group, and by section. We prized the most creative work done by our students and staff. Just like last year the inbox envelopes are the ones that receive all the mail that is written during this month, in which we thank each other for the wonderful things that we have received in the past year. A new event will be the buffet that we will share as a whole, on the 24th of November, trying to observe and share a meal just like the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared their autumn harvest back in 1621.
This year we added a new feature to the feast of Thanksgiving, the envelope inbox contest, and these are the winners per section. Nothing more gratifying than to see the whole community working towards one objective, this one, was to decorate our school with the Thanksgiving spirit and if you walk around our school you can feel it to the bone.

Feria de Universidades: Es un encuentro que permita a los estudiantes de último grado de los Colegios de ASOBILCA tener en un solo espacio las universidades más reconocidas a nivel nacional, universidades extranjeras y empresas de intercambio estudiantil, de tal forma que puedan contar con información de primera mano que les permita aclarar sus inquietudes.
